Georgia starts talks with United States on launching direct US-Georgia flights
Georgia has begun talks with two leading US airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, to launch direct flights between the USA and Georgia.
For this reason a delegation headed by Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava has left for the USA.
Launching direct flights will be a very positive political move which is in line with our strategic partnership with the USA, and on the other hand, it will be commercially attractive to companies”, said Turnava in late August.
Turnava said back in late August that a quite detailed study conducted by the Ministry of Economy showed that direct flights from Georgia to the United States would be cost effective.
