Passenger Traffic at Georgia’s Airports Increased Significantly
According to the United Airports of Georgia, in January 2019, airports served a total of 324,554 passengers. Which is 25% higher than the same period of the previous year (2018 to 259,612 passengers). In January, the increase in passenger traffic was observed in all three airports of the country.
Tbilisi International Airport served 252,178 passengers in January 2019, which is 13% more than in the same period last year (2018 passengers 222,400).
Passenger traffic in Kutaisi International Airport increased by 112% in January 2019 and reached 55,895 passengers (January 26, 2013, 26,345 passengers).
The growth trend is maintained in Batumi International Airport. In January 2019, 15,973 passengers benefited from Batumi Aleksandre Kartveli International Airport. Which is 52% more than in the same period last year (January 10,504 passengers in 2018).
